Dr. Marie Brossard-Racine Presents at Pediatric Medical Grand Rounds

We are delighted to share that Dr. Marie Brossard-Racine recently presented at the McGill University Health Centre’s 2025 Pediatric Medical Grand Rounds


As a Pediatric Neuroscientist and Associate Member of McGill’s Departments of Pediatrics, Neurology, and Neurosurgery, Dr. Brossard-Racine delivered an insightful talk titled: From Surviving to Thriving: Overcoming the Long-Term Impact of Neonatal Adversity 


Her presentation explored:  

  • Neurodevelopmental trajectories of NICU survivors and key factors shaping their long-term outcomes 

  • Similarities and differences in brain health and neurodevelopment across NICU survivors 

  • Modifiable factors that promote optimal brain health and neurodevelopment in this vulnerable population 


Pediatric Medical Grand Rounds provide an important platform for clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals to engage in discussions on the latest advancements in pediatric care. Dr. Brossard-Racine’s presentation provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by NICU survivors and opportunities to better support their development beyond their earliest years.
